career overview

A short, evidence-based overview. Selected projects, public mentions, and references.

Career snapshot

I am a web and graphic designer based in Barcelona, originally from Uruguay. I have been working in web design since 1999, and as a freelance professional since 2004. My work focuses on long-lasting digital systems: information architecture, UX, SEO understood as structure, and governance.

Over time, I have worked across education, culture, digital publishing, and civic participation, building platforms where structure, language, and accountability are inseparable.

  • Professional background in web design, frontend development, and digital systems, with early experience in teaching.
  • Co-founder of independent cultural and publishing initiatives, including WeArt Festival and Sigueleyendo.
  • Contributor to civic and citizen participation platforms such as Citycise.
  • Senior Web Designer at Johan Cruyff Institute, working on large scale institutional web platforms.

Selected projects

These projects reflect recurring patterns in my work: digital architecture, editorial systems, governance, and platforms designed to scale without losing coherence.

WeArt Festival

Co-founded in Barcelona as an independent contemporary art and new media festival. The project combined curatorial frameworks, multi venue coordination, and a digital backbone supporting open calls, documentation, and long-term visibility.

Sigueleyendo

A digital-first literary platform and publishing initiative led by journalist Cristina Fallarás. Often referenced as an early project in Spanish-language digital publishing.

This is not a company

A small digital studio collective working on web projects for cultural and mission-driven initiatives. It framed digital work as collaboration and responsibility rather than corporate output.

Citycise

A citizen co-creation platform designed to gather, discuss, and activate community proposals. The model connected citizen ideas with institutional and corporate support to enable real world implementation.

Work becomes credible when structure, language, and outcomes align. This page exists to make those references verifiable.
